Are you ready to fill these Boots as a Volunteer?

Whenever there is an emergency – a fire, a car wreck, or a medical crisis – most people rely on their local fire department for help. What most don’t realize is that in these situations, there’s a good chance that the emergency responders who answer the call are volunteers.

Ocean Beach Fire is looking for new members to become part of our team and join over 60 years of tradition serving the beach areas of Toms River including Ortley Beach, Monterey Shores, Ocean Beaches 1, 2, 3. Chadwick, and Silver Beach.  OBFC also provides mutual aid to the other shore communities on the barrier island. If you are a full time resident of any of these areas, Toms River Fire Department offers many financial incentives as a volunteer. No experience is needed and all training is free.

Attention career and volunteer firefighters with second homes at the beach. Consider lending your talents as a seasonal firefighter at OBFC. With the increase in population during the tourist season, we can use extra help with fire suppression, water rescues, dive calls, and other water related incidents. Your participation is not limited to just the summer months and we encourage year round involvement.
